This section on the official website of the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok will be a sharing of experience from bloggers who came to the hotel. Here you will find what they are impressed by.
I was keen to book a hotel which offered a good location and facilities. I got more than I bargained for, at the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok!
From the moment I first walked into the hotel, my jaw dropped! The hotel decor was nothing like any hotel I had ever stayed at. Everywhere you look, design statements and unusual decor were everywhere.
Instead of looking to just get to and from your room, as you would in a typically decorated hotel, my eyes and brain were constantly being caught and engaged. Thoughts I've never had before such as, "why are those lifts staring at me?", "what are those eyes saying?", "when one of the lifts stops to open, are the lifts winking at me?", "why have a motorcycle front end as part of a coffee table leg?" it just goes on and on. But in a fun way!
My two favourite features of the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok, include the drop off pool on the third floor and the roof top bar / restaurant. Both offering great views of Bangkok. I would often head for the roof top before retiring for the evening and marvel at the Bangkok skyline.
I had a standard room which like the rest of the hotel, had it's unique decor. Size was good with an unusual bathroom. The sliding wardrobe door had a secondary function of being the main bathroom door, in addition a coloured glass panel by the sink slides back, enabling you to chat to your room mate, while washing at the sink or lounging in the bath!
As my room was on the 15th floor, I thought I might get a good view of Bangkok, until I realised that I was in an area of high rise buildings. So I had a view of one side of the Holiday Inn building! This is no fault of the hotel of course.
