Day 1: Arrival & Beach Welcome

Start by making your way from Suvarnabhumi Airport (roughly 2 hours by road) to the hotel. Chargeable airport transfers can be booked directly through the hotel, or a private taxi is the most straightforward option for families with luggage. Budget-conscious families can also take the airport bus to Pattaya, tickets are sold at the counter near Gate 8 on Level 1 of the airport, with departures roughly every hour between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, arriving at stops along North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, or South Pattaya Road, from where it's a short taxi ride to the hotel.

Day 2: Dolphinarium & North Pattaya Family Fun

Enjoy breakfast at BigFish between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. By 9:30 AM, head north, the Pattaya Dolphinarium is only about 10–15 minutes by taxi or Grab from the hotel, making it an easy first stop of the day. The venue runs three daily shows (typically around 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM) featuring bottlenose dolphins and seals, with photo opportunities and swim experiences also on offer. Note that it's closed on Wednesdays, so plan this day accordingly.

Catch the 11:00 AM show, then grab lunch nearby in North Pattaya before easing into the afternoon. This is intentionally a slower stretch after the morning's show, so there's no need to rush back. Return to the hotel by mid-afternoon for a dip in the children's pool and some downtime, then treat the family to the seafood and BBQ buffet at Big Fish Seafood Market and Grill in Pattaya on the 6th floor for dinner, fresh seafood and grilled meats cooked to order, with a dessert corner the kids will want to visit twice.

Day 3: Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

After breakfast, set out by around 9:00 AM for Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, roughly 18–25 kilometers south of the city (about 40–50 minutes by car). This 600-acre garden is one of the most-visited family attractions near Pattaya, with themed gardens (French, Italian, cactus, orchid), a Dinosaur Valley that's a hit with younger kids, and cultural shows featuring traditional Thai dance. Renting a bike on-site or hopping on the internal sightseeing tram makes it much easier to cover the grounds with children in town.

Plan for at least half a day here, many families make it a full-day outing, with lunch available at one of the on-site restaurants. Note that the garden's elephant performances have drawn criticism over animal welfare in visitor reviews, so families who'd rather skip that segment can head straight for the botanical gardens, Dinosaur Valley, and cultural shows instead.

By late afternoon, head back toward the hotel to rest before dinner around Central Pattaya. If grandparents or older family members are happy watching the kids, this is a good evening for parents to take turns slipping up to Skybar Summer Club on the 27th floor, currently rated Pattaya's #1 restaurant on TripAdvisor, for a sunset cocktail and a look at the city's only double-decker pool.

Day 4: Koh Larn Island Day Trip

Note: Start early, the first ferries leave Bali Hai Pier around 7:00 AM, and getting an early boat means calmer crowds on the beach. After a quick breakfast, make your way to Bali Hai Pier at the southern end of Pattaya Beach, about a 10–15 minutes drive from the hotel. From here, regular ferries cross to Koh Larn Island (also known as Coral Island) in roughly 30–45 minutes for a low fixed fare, or speedboats make the same trip in about 15–20 minutes for a higher price, a good option if the family is short on patience for a slower crossing.

Head for Tawaen Beach, the island's liveliest and most family-equipped stretch, with beach chairs, food stalls, and simple water activities like banana boats and snorkeling. Families who prefer a quieter shoreline can ask the ferry to drop at Samae Beach instead. Spend the day on the sand, have lunch at one of the beachfront restaurants, and catch an afternoon ferry back, the last boats typically return by early evening.

Back at the hotel, keep it low-key: a casual dinner and an early night after a full day in the sun and salt water.

Day 5: Aquarium, the "Boat" 7-Eleven & Last Day in Town

Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast at BigFish Pattaya, then head south along Sukhumvit Road toward two easy, kid-friendly last stops before checkout.

First, Underwater World Pattaya, an indoor aquarium with a 100-meter glass tunnel, feeding shows, and a touch pool, a good pick if anyone in the family needs a break from the heat, and gentle enough for toddlers and grandparents alike. Plan on about an hour to work through the exhibits.

From there, swing by the famous "boat" 7-Eleven on South Pattaya Road (7-Eleven Thara Pattaya), a two-story branch built to look like a cruise ship, widely reported as the largest 7-Eleven in the world, complete with its own café, bakery counter, and mezzanine seating. It's a fun, air-conditioned photo stop and an easy place to pick up snacks and souvenirs for the trip home. Head back to the hotel to collect your belongings, grab a final meal, and make your way to the airport.
