For K-drama fans, The Player 2: Master of Swindlers is one of the more recent productions to feature Pattaya. The Korean action-crime series was filmed in Thailand between September and November 2023, with filming taking place across Bangkok, Pattaya, Ayutthaya and Phuket. In Pattaya, the production used Terminal 21 Pattaya, including its distinctive airplane installation at the entrance.
The series follows a team of specialists, scammers, hackers, fighters and drivers, as they work together on high-stakes missions.

Another Netflix title connected to Pattaya is Once Upon a Star;Â a Thai period drama set around a travelling cinema troupe in 1970s Thailand. The production was filmed in Thailand, including Pattaya, using the country's landscapes and local settings to recreate the atmosphere of an earlier era.
Rather than the modern nightlife image often associated with Pattaya, the film offers a different perspective, one that connects the city with Thailand's cinematic history.

If you're looking for a film that puts Pattaya itself much more directly into the story, Pattaya Heat is another interesting addition. The production filmed extensively in the city, including Walking Street and the Jomtien area. One major action sequence was filmed on Walking Street, where the production temporarily closed sections of the street for filming. Another large sequence was created at a hotel near Jomtien Beach.
The film brings together action, drama and Pattaya's unmistakable urban atmosphere, from busy streets to the energy of its entertainment districts.

One of Pattaya's most recognisable appearances on an international screen comes from Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). In Season 3, the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya becomes the setting for an important Tokyo–Professor reunion scene, a location Netflix itself has highlighted in its Thailand travel guide.
The Sanctuary of Truth stands apart from Pattaya's typical beach scenery: its enormous hand-carved wooden architecture creates a dramatic backdrop that fits perfectly into the visual style of the series.
