Because you deserve some pampering.

Newsflash: Sightseeing can be tiring. Sure, splashing about on S@S Pattaya’s two-tiered rooftop pool counts as a form of relaxation, but sometimes you need just a little more pampering. Good news, then, that Pattaya is jam-packed with spas and massage parlours. There’s a reason Thai massage is known the world over, after all. But not all spas are… what they seem. That’s why we’ve put together this list of our favourite places to relax and unwind, whether it’s a foot massage, a traditional Thai massage, an oil massage or hot compress. Now breathe…

BACC Bangkok

Health Land Spa & Massage

With 10 branches in Bangkok and Pattaya, this is a name you can trust. Of its two spas in town, the Pattaya Nua (North) branch is a mere seven-minute tuk-tuk ride from S@S Pattaya. You can expect clean facilities, attentive staff and prices that won’t blow your budget. Unlike many street-level massage shops, Thai massages here are carried out in private rooms. Those who have perhaps over-exerted themselves can have their aching muscles attended to by a rejuvenating traditional massage. Sunburnt? The Pattaya Nua branch offers a Vichy Shower Treatment that rehydrates your skin and stimulates the healing process. There are plenty of couples’ packages on offer, too.

Let’s Relax

Another big-name Thai spa brand, Let’s Relax has been around since 1998 and now boasts almost 40 branches all over the country, including three in Pattaya. The closest to S@S Pattaya is just a stone’s throw away at the airport-themed Terminal 21 mall. This mid-range spa will cost a little more than your street-side massage parlour, but it’s totally worth it. Popular choices include the hot oil massage and the Thai herbal steam sauna. We especially love the complimentary snack of mango sticky rice they give after some treatments! For some facial love, you can also check out Face Care by Let’s Relax, whose first flagship store is also found within Terminal21.

Na Spa

This chill boutique spa is for those seeking a little more solitude. Set in a retro two-storey house surrounded by greenery and a pool, Na Spa offers only five treatment rooms as well as a private steam room. Recommended treatments include the signature Naroma massage available in aromatic oils like jasmine or lemongrass. After your pampering session, consider sticking around at next door’s Spa Cafe for good, honest Thai and Western food in a serene setting.

Oasis Spa

The Oasis Spa

Perhaps Pattaya’s most scenic spa destination, The Oasis sits in a tranquil house amid a tropical garden near Big Buddha Hill. The Thai Lanna (northern-style) spa treatments are certainly pricier that on the street, but you’re assured an experience that’s a notch above. Besides private treatment rooms, the spa includes cold pools, a steam room and some beautifully designed spaces where you can chill out before and after your pampering. Bonus: they provide round-trip transportation within Pattaya. Finish off with some hot tea and fresh fruit.

Yunomori Onsen & Spa

One of the most relaxing and wholesome experiences in all of Pattaya. For the uninitiated, “onsen” is Japanese for hot spring and you can rest assured this bathhouse is perfect for soaking away your troubles, aches and pains. Yunomori Pattaya is split into separate men’s and women’s zones (guys, you’ll need to go commando; ladies, you have the option of donning disposable underwear) and features a clean, minimalist design. There are seven baths using water from Kanchanaburi’s Wat Wangkanai Tayikaram hot springs (a couple of hours north of Bangkok) at a range of temperatures, including a sleeping jet bath, silk bath, Jacuzzi bath and a cold bath. In addition, there are sauna and steam rooms, plus you can book in for a Thai massage or a selection of spa packages. An on-site cafe serves up sustenance in the form of tasty Japanese rice bowls and baked goods, meaning a day at the onsen is a day well spent.
